Man drives car into Seattle protest crowd
A man drove his car into a crowd of protesters in Seattle on Sunday, then shot and wounded a demonstrator who confronted him as he came to a stop, according to police and eyewitness video. Seattle police said firefighters took the man who was shot to the hospital and that he was in stable condition. No one else was injured, police said.

This week in Parliament: Covid-19
On Thursday, the employment committee will decide whether to back the European Commission decision to classify the virus causing Covid-19 as a risk group three biological agent or push for it to be classified as risk group four, which would mean more stringent health and safety measures for workers. Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, will discuss the bank’s response to the Covid-19 outbreak with the economic affairs committee on Monday. On Tuesday, MEPs will vote on changes to EU capital requirement rules for banks, which aim to allow them to better support businesses and households.

Body pulled from the Snake River
Idaho Falls and Bonneville County emergency responders pulled a man’s body out of the Snake River Friday afternoon near South Tourist Park in Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls police spokeswoman Jessica Clements said a passerby reported the body to police near the Pancheri Bridge just before 6 p.m. Police arrived at the scene, and asked the owners of the Snake River Ferry if they could use the boat, according to ferry owner Candace Sekeyre. Officers used the boat to secure the body, and then the sheriff’s office dive team retrieved it and brought it to shore at around 7 p.m., according to Clements.

St. John’s Episcopal Church at Lafayette Square, the recent site of President Donald Trump’s controversial photo opportunity on June 1, has ties to Lebanon County in the form of one of its most prominent historical families: the Colemans. A Facebook post made by the Cornwall Iron Furnace on June 2 highlighted the connection between the two.
